Konami Gaming have unveiled what is sure to become the latest trend in slot games across the board at this years G2E (Global Gaming Expo) in Las Vegas Nevada. Skill based slots – Frogger: Get Hoppin’, Hot Press Winnings and Beat Square – come directly from Konami’s 40+ years of arcade and video games experience, bridging the gap between video games and licensed gambling. Alongside these new skill-based slot machines, Konami unveiled new slot titles in the form of the Castlevania series and the Crystal Cyclone multiplayer progressive slot which looks absolutely amazing. Fans also got the first glimpse of Konami’s new ‘video mechanical’ horse racing game ‘Fortune Cup’; which mixes virtual horse racing, complete with touch screen interface, with a mechanical representation of the race.
Konami Gaming showcase bold imaginative concepts through innovative design at G2E“Each new game Konami releases showcases their talent in providing full immersion for players, with each new concept that they develop receiving various accolades from both the industry and gaming fans alike…”
At this years G2E casino players and gamers have been going crazy for Konami’s new generation of games, with all their newly unveiled releases receiving an amazing response from the crowds at the expo. This is in part due to the innovation Konami Gaming has shown by being bold enough to realize this sort of next generation concept, a concept that in all seriousness has been long overdue.
With ‘Frogger: Get Hoppin’ Konami Gaming have combined the concept of video slots and arcade games into one single cabinet, you play the slot as normal with features such as multipliers and wilds etc. but then the jackpot and bonus games are skill based, meaning you have to actually play the video game during the skill based part of this slot. Using a dual screen cabinet gives players 2 screens to play on while the cabinets could be networked to provide progressive jackpot opportunities and also fast-paced, multiplayer tournament play.
40 years later, Konami Gaming are still pushing the boundaries of modern entertainment
Konami’s huge product library keeps on growing, mostly with new and completely original casino games. Their other strength lies in the fact that they have over 40 years of intellectual property through their arcade and video game titles, most of which now are being developed and integrated into their casino gaming portfolio. More recently there was the unfortunate cancellation of the Silent Hill slot, but they currently employ many of their different original characters and game settings throughout their casino games; with Contra, Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid being a few that immediately spring to mind.
Their line of games is so wide and varied that there’s something for all types of players in their catalogue, the common factor among all their games is that the entertainment value is always maxed out. Each new game Konami releases showcases their talent in providing full immersion for players, with each new concept that they develop receiving various accolades from both the industry and gaming fans alike. With this sort of track record you can bet safely that Konami will continue to deliver the same amazing gaming experiences for another 40+ years, we’re just waiting for them to cross over into online casino territory with something revolutionary (and skill based ofc). Watch this space.
