Amaya Gaming, a Canadian provider of online casino games – note that their very best slot machines can be played for free on our site – has just experienced a dazzling rise in revenue during the first half of 2014, thanks to recent acquisitions of Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker. Amaya Gaming actually came into ownership of the two prestigious brands this summer and the publisher intends to capitalize on their popularity to increase its financial capital in the long term. Will it be able to do so successfully?

The Amaya Gaming Group already capitalizing on its poker based brands

The Canadian publisher of online casino games, the Amaya Gaming Group has seen its revenues grow exponentially during the first half of 2014. The recent acquisitions of the Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker brands have played a significant role in this rise in profits for the Toronto based group. As a result of the management of the Oldford Group, a subsidiary of the organization, of the two brands which were formerly owned and operated by Rational Group, no less than 445 million euros in revenue were accrued: 25 million more compared to the same period during the previous year. The net proceeds of the North American firm leapt 12% to € 192 million during the first half of 2014. David Baazov, the CEO of Amaya Gaming Group, said he was extremely satisfied with such a highly positive result: "We are very pleased with the performance of PokerStars and Full Tilt in 2014. We will make every effort to ensure that it continues."

Spurred on by Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker, the Amaya Gaming Group has the opportunity to boost its revenue. Although the purchase of two of poker players’ favourite brands has taken its toll on the company’s finances, there is no doubt that good management and repositioning will enable it to take its place at the head of the sector sooner or later.

New challenges in store for the Amaya Gaming Group

"Our subsidiary which specializes in poker recorded an increase in revenue throughout the first half of the year. We were not expecting the first results to be profitable from the beginning" David Baazov proudly explained. However, the entire leadership is aware that several deadlines lie ahead. PokerStars launched a new variant called "Spin & Go's" last September on its network - the new product has experienced resounding success in Spain, France and Italy – and early access to its two new roulette and blackjack games has been announced for the beginning of the year 2015. In addition, PokerStars has also unveiled the beta version of its new .com site, and .es .eu.

Also, it is worth remembering that PokerStars has concluded the latest edition of its World Championship of Online Poker. The amount of prize money issued was no less than US $ 61.9 million through about sixty-six diverse and varied events. A record!
