For regular and expert casino players this is probably nothing new, most of them will know or have come across the terms ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ bets. For the casual or novice player this article will address the category of bets in roulette known as ‘inside’ bets. These types of bet can be found in the French, English and American variants of the game. In this guide we explain the different types of inside bets, how they are made and how much they are worth.
Inside bets are bets that can be made from positions ‘inside’ the roulette table. In direct contrast to ‘outside’ bets, which have the best odds but a low payout ; with inside bets you have much lower odds of winning but when you do win the payouts are far greater.
As a word of warning if you are just starting out playing any of the variants of roulette, be extremely careful where you position your bets. These bets shouldn’t be confused with bets that surround the table such as red/black, pairs and odds/evens. Those are what are known as ‘outside’ bets. Each inside bet has a specific payout and it is also evident that it’s more valuable to play some of these inside bets over others.
Study the bets presented in the table below and analyze them properly, ensuring not to make any mistakes when you come to play your roulette games.
